1. Janice York
Janice had a miserable trip to the new kingdom. Between her many fears (are sea monsters real?), her intense fear of water, and her propensity to be a little, well, crazy, it was not a pleasant experience. Janice only left home because her boyfriend, Jimmy Thomas, insisted that she come with him. In fact, Jimmy was the ship's head cook, and a major supporter of the decision to leave. Janice is a little resentful that he forced her to leave the comfort and safety of her home to live in an entirely new world. She's still angry at him for forcing her to come with him, though at least Janice made friends with Fran Stein during the journey. Will Janice and Jimmy's relationship survive in the new kingdom?

2. Jimmy Thomas
Jimmy is a care-free, happy kind of guy. When people began to talk about leaving the old kingdom, he jumped on the idea simply because it sounded exciting. A new land to be tamed! A new world to discover, for those brave enough to find it! Jimmy used his cooking abilities to get a position as head cook on the boat. His enthusiasm and support gave him a relatively high status in the new kingdom. Jimmy is most excited, however, to begin a family with his girlfriend, Janice York. In Jimmy's eyes, life is perfect. Will the reality of the new kingdom live up to his expectations?

3. Joel Thomas
Joel did not originally want to come on the boat. He was all settled in the old kingdom with a steady job as a merchant and a relatively decent social standing- why leave? But when Joel's brother Jimmy jumped to leave, Joel knew that he had to come also or risk never seeing his brother again. Imagine Joel's surprise when on the boat he met the love of his life- a pirate named Judi! He would never have expected to fall for someone so unconventional, so wild and daring. But despite seeing each other almost every night on the boat, Judi refuses to make their relationship official, and sometimes Joel wonders if she's keeping something from him. Will Joel ever win over Judi's full affections?

4. Robbie Johnston
Robbie has it all going on, and he knows it. His Daddy was rich and gave him lots of money for the voyage. So why isn't he part of the upper echelon of society? Robbie has no clue, but he means to find out! Unfortunately, he's already on terrible terms with Wayne Dunthorpe, the sweetheart of the Noble class. Apparently it wasn't a good idea to call him pretentious to his face- but how was Robbie supposed to know he was a Noble, it was only a joke! Robbie's stress over his status has made him a little bit neurotic. He's obsessed with fitting in with the high class society. His new girlfriend, Judi Dielman, is great at calming him down, but he worries that if he wants to continue rising higher in society he may have to leave her behind...
